Going along with our study of the environment, we have our first blog discussion of the year.
How do you affect the environment? Tell me ways that you have either a negative or a positive affect on the environment. Here is a hint: we all affect the environment in some way!

We all affect the environment in many ways. For example: We all drink soda. The soda can is made out of aluminum and The soda bottle is made out of plastic. If not disposed of properly the plastic ends up in a land fill where it will never rot. Also, think of the little things we use like hair spray cans, moose, makeup containers. Hair spray eats at the ozone layer so we need to stop using hair spray -Morgan Byrd :)
I affect the environment in a good/bad way. For example I use lots of energy, I take long showers and I save the environment by planting trees. but mostly I don't really conserve all that well :/.

These are some of the bad effects that I have on the enviroment. I do not always conserve energy. Most of the time I will leave the tv or lights on in a room when I leave. We use to many plastic bottles and then throw them away.I do not get to recycle alot of things because we have no place to take them. At times I stay in the shower too long.But I do have some good habits. I reuse alot of things such as coffee cans. I store other stuff in them. Reuse plastic bags as garbage bags. I recycle alumiun cans.I also save toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls & egg cartons for AES teachers to use for crafts.

We affect the environment every day with normal things we do every day. For example suppose you woke up and saw you had left the lamp on. The energy used for the lamp comes from the electrical company who uses a process that will send pollution into the air causing breathing problems for both humans and animals. To stop pollution like that from going into the air you should probably turn off lights and electronics when leaving the room.

I have an affect on the environment because I try not to use as much paper. Using to much paper uses to many trees.

One way we harm the environment is that we drive cars. Cars give exhaust (especially diesel trucks)which pollutes the air. Another way is that we have trash. Eventually trash is dumped into the ground which destroys the dirt and soil.

A positive way that I affect the environment is whenever I go to the store, I use reuseable shopping bags. This affects the environment in a positive way because it helps less plastic bags end up in a landfill. When plastic bags end up in a landfill, it takes them a very long time to break down. Reuseable bags do not end up in the ocean. When plastic bags are in the ocean marine life mistake these floating bags for food.

I think that I affect the enviroment in both a good and bad way. I think that I affect the enviroment in a good way because I turn off all lights that aren't in use. I think that I affect the enviroment in a bad way because I have so many lights in my room I'm suprised I don't have a power bill.

I have an effect on the environment because I sometimes litter on an accident because i will be riding in the car and a napkinn will fly out of the window and because i stay up all night watching tv so I burn alot of energy, and i ride i the car alot so i burn alot of fossil fuels.I also take super long showers, but it is not like I am going around chopping down trees and dumping trash in the rivers becaus ehten i would be a naughty boy.We all burn alot of fossil fuels for example how much gas do u use in a week,ALOTTTTTT.

I help and hurt the environment. A few good things I do is recycle, reuse, and conserve alot (as long as I DON'T forget). I hurt the environment by littering, but I dont't mean to because sometimes when I'm in the car paper and plastic and other stuff will fly out. And I pollute the air by getting my parents to take me to my friends house when I could ride my bike over to their house (if it's not too far).

To help the environment I recycle cans. Recycle cans that you see on the side of the road. Pick it up. If you see cans in the water, try getting it. That's how you can help the environment.
