Little River Canyon

I have said it before and I will say it again. Get outside and enjoy the summer. Don't let the heat scare you away. Drink plenty of water and wear sunscreen. Watch out for snakes, but don't let them scare you off either. Go explore.
Thanks to Tim Jones for the cool shot!

More Biblical Information Found?

It seems that archeologist have once again put their hands on priceless artifacts from the past. Found in the middle east, new articles of the Christian faith have been determined to be from around the time of Christ's death. If they are indeed from that time period, they could be a huge find for the Christian faith. I have included the link below. Please let me know what you think.

Islam: Then and Now

Since we are finishing up our unit on Islam, I thought it would be good to get your ideas about the growth and development of the religion as a whole. We are also about to begin our research papers, so this is a great time to get used to coming up with original ideas. This is an opportunity for you to put forth your thoughts, and then to defend them.

Here is what I want to know.......

How has the growth and development of Islam into one of the largest monotheistic religions impacted your life?

I would like you to give me specific examples and instances. If you disagree with a post, post a response (respectfully respond I might add) Be creative. Ask your parents and friends. Let me know what you come up with. I look forward to hearing what you have to say!

How Far Should We Go?

In shades of "Jurrasic Park", a team of researchers are beginning plans to bring to life an extinct species of mammoth using DNA from a specimin in Russia (click on the "Mammoth Article" below). Should this be done? Should the government be involved? If so, how? Let me know how you think this article is related to our study of Civics and government. Leave a comment below (click on the word "comments"). Ask you parents also! I would love to know what you think!
