National Healthcare is all the rage now, or that's what some would have us believe. We currently have a health care system that is partially private, partially government funded. Many in the health care profession claim the government portion of the healthcare system is in a mess currently, with no foreseeable improvement. Others say that the private cost of personal health care insurance is out of the reach of many less fortunate American citizens. President Obama proposed a nationalized health care plan (i.e. mostly government controlled) when he was campaigning for the office of president. He is currently trying to get a national healthcare plan passed.

My family and I think that this is a horrible thing and no, it isn't a good idea. One reason it isn't a good idea is that it is going to raise taxes. Another reason is that Canada has health care provided by the government. They have to put people on waiting charts for up to like a couple of months. One man died of a heartache like 2 weeks before he was going to get a checkup. So, from my opinion, I think that the government needs to get out of providing health care to Americans.

I think it's a good thing for the people who can't afford it like if some one in your family died you wouldn't have to pay. But it is also a bad thing because you can't pick what doctor you want to go to.

And the money you pay for the taxes can be paid for the health care system(surgery or whatever has to be done). So either way your spending your money on one thing or the other. I think that the healthcare program is a terrible idea and it is ruining our governments. Because of the healthcare program, many american citizens are losing there jobs and its hard to find work. I think it is a bad idea to keep giving money away to people who probably don't even need it. The worst thing is that everyone is unemployed because the owners don't have enough money to pay them.

I think it is bad! The government doesn't need to change our health care. I mean I've seen before what the government run hospitals, you can't get in for hours. It's always packed full of people! For example what if a woman was going into labor in a government run hospital? whats she going to do have her baby on the floor?! I AM COMPLETELY AGAINST IT! I think it is a good thing. I mainly think it is a good thing because President Obama may even try to lower the cost of healt care. There could also be a lot of people dying from swine flu so Obama may also trying to help scientists find a cure for this horrible disease.

My family and I don't feel that national health care is a good idea because the cost to implement a national health care program will be to expensive.The goverment can not fix the economy by simply adding more money to the national debt.The american people need to get back to the basics and that is work hard and pay your own way. Obama needs to really stop messing with our economy and health care system.>=l Hes making things worst hes making the taxes go up.We were just doing fine without him before he came and took president for four years. Always remember that the government can only give if it takes from someone else. This health care reform bill will cause our taxes to increase. The more you pay in taxes the less money you get to carry home.
I think the health care, is a good |& bad thing (: I know is sounds all good that everyone will have healthcare..But, who's going to pay for it? THE TAX PAYERS. & i dn't think that's fair..Like Coach Nesmith pays $2 for health care, but if the tax thingy goes through then..It willl be like close to $100.

I think President Obama is trying to do the right thing but I believe what he is doing with healthcare isn't the right thing.His way of fixing the problem is to convert the healthcare system to a socialized government system of buerocracy that will end up being just as messy as it is now.

I think the health care plan has a pro and cons. A good thing about the health care would be people who cant afford medical bills and payments will not have to worry. I think that is the only advantage to health care. One of the many cons would be that we would not have the privacy we all enjoy. Also think about what has the goverment taken control of? What situation is it now? People deserve the freedom of choice and that includes what docters.

i think that the healthcare plan is a bad idea because some people drop out of school and if the government provides healthcare it won't motivate them to get a job.Also many people have had a doctor for a few years and they trust them, but if the government provides healthcare you would have to have a new doctor that you don't know

I think it is both a good and a bad thing.
Good: If you don't have a doctor they will give you one.
Bad: You have NOOOOO privacy!!!! If you have been going to a certain doctor since you were real little and they just gave you a new one you prob. wouldnt trust them.

Honestly Coach Taylor, i really dont get involved with political stuff like this but from what I've heard in class it doesn't sound to fantastic. Really it sounds like a bunch of bull that the government and Obama is trying to sell to us so we re-elect him next year.
national healthcare is both good and bad. good because it gives us free medical care, and for a very large number of people thats the main priority. but for a lot of other people, they dont have that sense of security feeling because they have no say in what doctor they go to.

I beleave it would be a terrable thing 4 the goverment to control our health care because every1 should be able to choose who there own docter is and it shoyuld not be chosen 4 them.
