This week we fell to 1-2. We lost to the St. Clair County Saints 14-6. They played a better game than we did from start to finish. While we are speaking about his I would like to make a point. When a star athlete goes down most people look at the situation as problematic. While I never look forward to loosing players that can contribute to the team, when we do loose one to injury, discipline, or grades, something unique happens. The players that are behind them on the depth chart are forced to make a decision. Do they step up and take over, or let the team slide even further because they are reluctant to be leaders?
We had some players step up and do great things against St.Clair. They filled empty spots on the depth chart with determination and hard work. However, we also had some who refused to step up. To win, we have to all play together and everyone step up and do their job well. Lets see if we can turn things around against Leeds next week!
